RESIDENTIAL
SANITATION AND RECYCLING
The collection of trash has become a costly and
complicated service to provide to the residents. We ask that you cooperate
in order to help facilitate orderly collection of trash and recyclables.
You should
keep in mind that different types of trash have to be collected in different
trucks and taken to different places.
By following
the schedules, as best as possible, we can keep our sidewalks and streets
clear of items which are not on the collection schedule.
Recycling
Recycling collection is performed by the Atlantic
County Utility Authority every other Friday. Items can be co-mingled
and can include aluminum, aerosol cans, beverage and food cans, tin and
steel cans, clear, green or brown glass including jars, and plastic bottles.
Newspaper and cardboard must be flattened, tied and bundled. Aerosol cans
must be emptied. Please do not include plastic tops. For further information
call the Atlantic County Utilities Authority at (609)
272-6960.
